If you keep a close eye out on the "for sale" thread you should be able to find a good used truggy. In the past month I've seen a few ST-1's for sale including a ST-1 pro that was for sale with engine and pipe for around $400. There has been a couple RTR ST-1's as well for under $500. If you can't afford a new one, a decent used one might be the way to go. Since TTR is distributed locally, parts shouldn't be hard to come by since most shops can order from Hobbycraft. Just my 2 cents!

750 max for a rtr losi
i got mine at A J Hobbies in Unionville for 700. he didnt have any in stock but ordered it in for me and i got it in 5 days after that. I have the Alial .28 in there and I am happy with it...but the Dsm radio is the real reason I BOUGHT THE RTR VERSION.
NEW truggys are expensive, but by next season I am sure you will find some used losi's for a good price well in your budget...or take your chances with E-Bay. Good prices ther but at a risk. |

The hobby shop i go to is big boys with cool toys. if anyone has heard of it, and panther hobbies. bother close to each other panther is a small shop carrys and evader and a savage and some used trucks. Big boys gives deals on cars that are on display, it just may be my ticket. cars that arent even touched.

I second that notme. granted I've traded for all my RC's against non RC stuff so the actual cars cost me nothing really but nitro upgrades parts etc. money pit like no tommorow $35/gallon nitro + grabbing tires or what have you there's a good chunk of $100 or more gone seeing as good tires are worth a pretty penny. then on to the accessories like new bodies wings tuned pipes lol.
thankfully my buggy came to me as pretty much hopped to the max minus like 2 things so this one isn't so much of a money pit just nitro and rx tx batteries to worry about so like $8 for brick of 24 batteries and $35 for a gallon lasts quite a while. when I get my next RC (probably gonna buy a blade CX) then I'll be in for new blades etc when I crash (and not if cause I know I'll crash at least once) |
