These guys were telling me the average flyer can easily run over 200 mph with some of the hot shots over 300. I looked it up on the net and there are youtube videos where they're over 400 mph and these are freakin gliders. These guys were telling me usually you can make an airframe go fast enough they literally come apart and they are ballasting these things with lbs of weight just to get them to go faster. So if the airplane doesn’t kill ya the weight will take ya out. A couple lbs of ballast at two or three hundred mph could sure cause some damage. Can you say that's going to leave a mark.

See why DS slope gliding is on my bucket list. How about a maiden flight @ 380mph+ (42lbs).

I saw the rock wall!!!!!!!!!! The guy with the radar gun was behind it.

Heck pull the motor outa yer gasser stick about 25 lb lead, take the landing gear off and ya have an IMAC slope soaring machine.

And when I need to break 300mph, while it's not glow, I turn to this. At $25 worth of fuel each flight though I don't fly it often.
