OK I found a post on the Yahoo MIN-IAC group discussion board.

It is from the gentleman who was responsible for laying out all of the sequence proposals in PDF format.

There was quite a discussion on the board as to why no callouts were shown with the proposals.

Here is the authors callout description for the 2005 Basic "A" proposal which ended up being the oficial 2005 Basic Form B & C Sequence with the exception of #7 which change from a 1 turn to a 2 turn spin.

2005 IMAC Basic Sequence
Fig. 1 One roll.....exit upright.
Fig. 2 Sharks Tooth.....vertical upline.....pull to 45.....1/2 roll.....exit upright.
Fig. 3 Hammerhead.....nothing up.....pivot.....nothing down.....exit upright.
Fig. 4 Loop......exit upright.
Fig. 5 Half Cuban 8.....5/8 inside loop.....half roll.....exit upright.
Fig. 6 Immelman......1/2 inside loop.....1/2 roll.....exit upright.
Fig. 7 Spin.....one turn positive spin.....exit upright.
Fig. 8 Humpty.....vertical upline.....inside half loop.....1/2 roll down......exit upright.
Fig. 9 Half Reverse Cuban 8.....45 upline.....inside half loop.....1/2 roll down.....exit upright.
Fig. 10 Aerobatic Turn.....180.....exit upright.

So for the Official Basic Sequence it would be:

2005 IMAC Basic Sequence Form B & C
Fig. 1 One roll.....exit upright.
Fig. 2 Sharks Tooth.....vertical upline.....pull to 45.....1/2 roll.....exit upright.
Fig. 3 Hammerhead.....nothing up.....pivot.....nothing down.....exit upright.
Fig. 4 Loop......exit upright.
Fig. 5 Half Cuban 8.....5/8 inside loop.....half roll.....exit upright.
Fig. 6 Immelman......1/2 inside loop.....1/2 roll.....exit upright.
Fig. 7 Spin.....two turn positive spin.....exit upright.
Fig. 8 Humpty.....vertical upline.....inside half loop.....1/2 roll down......exit upright.
Fig. 9 Half Reverse Cuban 8.....45 upline.....inside half loop.....1/2 roll down.....exit upright.
Fig. 10 Aerobatic Turn.....180.....exit upright.

So see I was correct in the fact that #5 is indeed a Half Cuban 8 not just a 5/8 loop! :P :P

I thought about it but I didn't get as much flying time under my belt last year as I wanted. I'll be in Basic for this summer coming but might try out sportsman later in the year if i do well enough just to see.

Ahha.... but nobody said I was right either!

Jeang... started me EF Yak tonight, putting in NIB YS 1.10 with smoke system. Hey maybe I'll be the first guy in Basic to try Freestyle next season!

Do any events in Ontario require a Pilot and Instrument panel? Also do any of the events have a freestlye competition?!?!

They are not required in the Basic class Chris. Sportsman and above do have a small deduction from your score if you don't have them.

Freestyle is offered at most if not all Ontario contests, which is open to all competitors.

Hope to see you at a few contests next year Chris!

Chris,

Like Mike said they are not required for Basic but I personally have always had a problem seeing an a/c flying without a pilot. Kinda spoils the whole experience if you know what I mean. This is just a personal thing but you don't see very many a/c flying themselves in the full-scale world, xcept for RPV's of course!

Pilots don't add that much weight and if a couple of oz is the different between flying and not then you have more serious problems with that aircraft.

So Chris what are you planning to campaign in Basic next year?

I plan on it, but I also planned o it last year but this year I may...just may have a proper a/c, I knew my .25 hots would not cut it It kidna has a delay to kick into a move but once it does it goes through the move very fast making it tricky to do the moves well. A AW 29% Katana would fix that up nicely! I can only wish.
