JR PC Data Transfer

I had installed the JR PC Data on my PC running Win XP Pro, I recently, purchased a laptop running Win 7 64, attempted to install the JR PC Data and would not work. Apparently, the USBIO drivers are missing or incompatible?

Anyone have insight?

Thanks,

Gordon

Re: JR PC Data Transfer

Does Win7 allow you to run in compatability mode. This might allow the bundled driver to work.

Re: JR PC Data Transfer

Did you try the workaround by temporarily disabling the signature verification process? Follow the steps below and then the software should work. It has worked for me. It is just a pain to remember to do it. I have been talking with a tech from Horizon and they need to get a new driver. My last conversation with him was they were going to do that. How long will it take, who knows. Let me know how you make out if you try the workaround.

You may get a data error when transferring the dat to or from your transmitter. but try it again and it should work..

How to Disable Driver Signature Enforcement
How to temporarily disable driver signature enforcement.

● Reboot the computer.
● During the reboot keep pushing the F8 key on the keyboard.
DO NOT press and hold the key but keep pressing it repeatedly.
This will take you to the Advanced Boot Options menu (which looks like an old DOS screen)
● Select “Disable Driver Signature Enforcement” and press Enter.

After this the computer will boot normally.
