Sticker goo

So I have been tring to remove some old stickers from bodies I have kicking around and have run into the problem of the left over goo that will never go away.
So completly unlike myself I did a little research and found the answer.

WD-40

Is there anything this stuff can't do, just make sure to wash the area well afterwards.
Apperently it will work on any surface, cars, bikes, refridgerators whatever.

there is also a product that we have done some experimenting with called un-du (not sure of the spelling). This stuff instantly neutralizes adhesive.

I tried the brake cleaner but all it seemed to do was sread the goo around and I'm sure it's not too good on painted surfaces like cars (the big ones with paint jobs you don't want ruined, don't worry about this Keddy I've seen your car).

Yes and it works great. It temporarily neutralizes adhesive compound meaning you can even remove and reuse stickers etc.
Good on any surface. runs about $5 for a 2oz bottle.

Nail polish remover. Pink colored stuff removes the paper, blue removes the glue. Don't ask me why, they just do. Works excessively well and you may have some at home if there's a lady in the home.

I've had some bad experiences on several types of plastics either melting or 'crazing' when exposed to acetone based nail polish removers. About 15 years ago I was told by someone in the Lens and optical industry that Lighter Fluid is safe on plastics (ie; polycarbonate) and removes the most stubborn sticker goo with just a few seconds of soaking. I took the advice and it has never failed me...just make sure there isn't an open flame around

Well, this was on a storage box (with wheels) that I bought from Home Depot, which had large stickers all over it. I would not have had enough lighter fluid to get all of those off. So I tried the nail polish remover (since we had a good deal of it about). Didn't damage the storage box at all.

I also just checked both of them, they say "Acetone free" on them. (One warning, they both have bad odors and together it's even worse.)
