Control line returns to Sioux Lookout
I have finally secured exclusive use of the field and started grooming a circle, I thought that I had lost this field when the town sold it to an engineering company from Thunder Bay.
It is usable now, if your landing gear is stout. 70 feet from center, relatively flat, it will take a while to fill all the little holes and ripped sod from equipment that was stored there last year. I will continue to fill and groom as the summer progresses, and by next spring we should have world class circle, then I can bring out the advanced stunt ships. Thanks to Joe for using the packer, we will roll it again in the fall and again next spring. Yes that's me in 2007. If any local control liners are looking for a circle, here it is, Call me if your interested in dropping by. 807-737-8850 We're only an hour off the main highway just east of Dryden Ontario, half way between Winnipeg and Thunder bay. Re: Control line returns to Sioux Lookout
Ooookay, NOW I understand why you didn't want the r/c Pattern plans! Good score on the flying site, Mike, I know how good that feels.
So. Back to plans. I do have a few (lighter) plans for c/l pattern models, if you are still interested. Let me know. |

Re: Control line returns to Sioux Lookout
Good deal! Control line is something I have yet to witness, but am looking forward to someday soon. Glad you had the assistance of the heavy equipment and operator, hat makes things so much better.
We have one member of a nearby club that flies control line, but I have never seen him fly.

Re: Control line returns to Sioux Lookout
Dave, if you want to watch some control line, there is the Balsa Beavers T&D this weekend at Centennial park. Check their website. It is worth checking out, not far from Brampton. I don't know if I'll make it, it is 4 hours and it might rain. All the control line guys usually go there, most are world class. There aren't a whole lot of us left.

Re: Control line returns to Sioux Lookout
I'd love to, but unfortunately I have other commitments this weekend that drags me from the country back into the big smoke. (I'm over two hours east of Brampton now)
