Arrow Looking for some info,on esc.

Can you exstand the wires on a ESC about 2'' to 3" inches longer

Sure Grant, 3" is negleagble.
I have done similar, always as large, or larger if that is all you have.

Grant, I read several sources that state the preference is to extend the motor to esc wires (3 conductor) rather than the battery to esc (2 conductor). I agree with Dale that the amount you quote will make negligible difference.

I've got a number of parkjets and happened to look at the instructions for one from the manufacturers -- they talk about running an extension between the ESC and the brushless motor (nose to tail), a matter of about 14 inches or so.

Of course, the application and size of the motor/ESC come into play. Some EDF setups using large battery packs call for soldering the motor and ESC wires together and not cutting or adding sections. The parkjets I fly are using 2212/6 motors and 3s packs.

BTW, what are you building or are you just asking in general? Specifics make getting good answers easier.
