Traxxas recommends 20% nitro for their engines...'Traxxas fuel' & 'Tamiya Fuel' are both made by 'Power Master' fuels, so really any one of these three would be suitable, but other brands will work fine.(20nitro/13oil)

Kermit in my engine

I have ran blue thunder in 4 separate engines now. Each one had every internal part coated in some kind of green stuff. My S-25 has a loose crank pin after three gallons of this from new. I question this fuel. Any ideas?

Every nitro fuel will leave some type of residue or internal dis-coloration.

As for wear on your crank pin, you may have been hard on that engine. Blue Thunder never use to show their SCOB (oil) content, which meant it was 18%SCOB. It has only been lately that they do advertise the oil content in their fuel.

Any nitro brand will work in any engine, some better than others. Less oil means a cleaner meaner combustion, not faster just peppier.

I use Sidewinder Race Fuel 30N10SCOB. I run my engines hard but borderline rich, enough to see smoke and excess oil out of the pipe to keep the engine at operating temperature.
