T-rex 550 fbl or Gaui x5 fbl
I can't make up my mind. I am thinking of a new heli but witch one. The 550 from Rotorquest seems like a very good deal,free ship and 6s battery but the 3G unit has not so good reviews. The X5 from RCheliCanada also has free ship and has the MicroBeast fbl unit(good reviews),scorpion power but no battery.
What to do,What to do (sigh)

Terry...It is definitely a tough choice! I have the flybarred Gaui X5 heli and I like it. But I also want a T-Rex 550e! Having a BeastX on my T-rex 450 and 500, I am very happy with their performance. Now, I am thinking of converting my flybarred X5 into flybarless with Bx too. If I will buy a T-Rex 550e, I don't want to get the one with 3G electronics.
One thing to note in your decision making. The T-Rex 550e is a bit taller and wider than the X5. |

I am thinking of the X5 also after watching some flight vids,the scorpion powerd X5 looks very good.

Hi Terry. We're not far from you here in Manitoba. Feel free to contact me via PM or email if there's anything specific you want to ask me about the X5. If you need batteries, we can work something special out for you.
The X5 is an awesome machine, and you mentioned, it comes as a factory combo WITH the MicroBeast. And, if you're open to suggestion, I might also suggest the Compass Atom 500 (or 550 Stretch) with a Skookum SK720. BTW ... weather permitting, I'm going to try and get out on the ice at Lake of the Woods at Kenora this weekend to fly with some other forum members.
