Thanks for all the responses, guys - ehhum, I was not using the correct address for Tom'sRC! As soon as I found that, he responded immediately and is sending me the CD for just the shipping costs ($1:95!) with follow up e-mails - can't fault that, eh? Should be in the box today!
Thanks Vulcan1, I'll bear that in mind. I may be the patriarch of the clan, but I'm a neophyte in nerdland still!

Re: USB Port Interface Cable -

Thanks to all and hicell. All the disk had I got from Tom was more FMS programmes and still no driver! Now have three up and loaded but no more success - anyway had other things come up so said 'p155 on it'.
But now have several leads to follow up and may send SOS, Vulcan1 when I've exhausted all avenues. Yes, I'm running XP.
I have a little Pico Stick F coming and a grand-daughter for the Xmas hols, and she's as keen as mustard so want to sort it out before I let her loose on the buddy box and then in the air. Where's my aspirins now?!!

Try uninstalling whatever driver XP installed, pull cable, reboot.
Plug in cable.
It should install a driver by itself.
Pull cable.
Reboot again.
Reinstall cable to see if XP recognizes it this time.

Actually that's not it.
They are all PPM to USB converters, some work better than others.
Some versions of XP almost work well.
