Hitec Eclipse QPCM VS. Futaba 9CAP?
I'm trying to decide which of these two radios will be the right one. I would like to hear everyone's opinions, and thoughts. The plane the radio is for is a Wild Hare Edge 540T with a D.A. 50, and Hitec servos on all surfaces. With that said... Feel free to post all, and any opinions of which of the two radios is the "right one" for myself, and this application. Oh and the plane will be flown for sport aerobatic purposes, not ever likely to see a competition. Thanks to all who contribute, Jared

Questions like these are hard to answer. I know, I've asked many
It's like asking which one is better, Ford or Chevy? We all know Ford kicks butt! but there are those that will say different. Same as the Hitec vs Futaba. Futaba comes out on top by a long shot I drive an Explorer and I fly with a 9C Good luck with your choices! |

I put myself through the same questions a little while back and decided on the Futaba 9C. I like the fact it has assignable switches and 3 flight modes. Programming is a breese and the fact I like the most is the ability to run and trim two elevator servos.
I don't think I'll ever have to upgrade again with the 9C, it has everything I want for a little more $$$ than the Eclipse. Oh, and I drive a Mazda thats really a Ford...or is it the other way around....who cares Ian

A purchase has been made!
Well, I purchased a radio, although neither of the two in question. It is a Futaba 7CAP. This radio, new to the market seems a perfect in between. Thanks for all who responded, and I will likely post back here with thoughts on the 7CAP. Oh and by the way... I drive a GMC, and it was made in Oshawa Onatrio! Canadian made! Canadian for life!
