So far it's 4 votes for the full wing and 5 votes for the short one.
As for lightly wing loaded planes that don't seem to want to land with the engine running - there are several reasons for that. Wrong prop. Idle speed too high. Engine way over sized. Pilot error. All of which are easily fixed.

Thanks every one I have decided to go full wing . I agree that a cub is a cub and should be flown like one. I like to go to the pond and do touch and goes and lazy circuits.Saving the aerobatic flying for my 300 Extra at the field

If you drown a four stroke you have to partly disassemble it cause running it will not get the water out of the cam bearings or rocker box area. A 4" pitch prop at 10,000 RPM will give 37.8 MPH. This is a good RPM for that motor. The formula is quite simple Just multiply the pitch by the RPM and that will give you inches in a minute then you have to convert it into miles per hour.

Yeah but I don't run a 4 stroke at 10,000 rpm.
 Also a cheap asp 61 fs got drowned a few times and running it a lot to high temp kept it in shape. That was underpowered on a 80" cub!
