MVVS engines
Is there any Canadian companies left selling MVVS engines and parts?
Thanks Jeff Last edited by BansheeBoy; 11-12-2009 at 02:18 PM. |

Re: MVVS engines
My guess is that it's alot like trying to sell a shirt in the face of WalleyWorld.
The NA market has been swallowed up by the big names such as OS, Super Tiger, and Magnum. All are dependable and reasonably inexpensive with excellent support. I have three NIB MVVS engines, and suspect I'll throw out my exwife's plates and put them in the china cabinet as collectors pieces. They are probably outstanding engine's, but, will have a hard time ever finding market share for parts and support. I don't know where you can buy parts. I will advise this, though, DO NOT get parts from MORRIS HOBBIES. They were or are an MVVS distributor. The problem is they take your money and don't send you the parts or answer your e-mails. I've learned that the hard way. Guy

Re: MVVS engines
I have purchased MVVS engines from http://mvvs.nl/ with no problems. Delivery time was about 6 weeks.

Re: MVVS engines
Pe Reivers is a great guy to deal with, I bought an engine, custom header and tuned pipe mounts from him and received great service and guaranteed warranty(if needed).

Re: MVVS engines
Horizon hobby sells Evolution engines. These are the same as MVVS just with a different name. I have a MVVS 45 engine that recently needed cylinder crankcase gaskets and crank washer for the connecting rod and after a search on there website, I ordered the parts and had them in a week and a half. The parts are all interchangeable.
Hope this helps anyone looking for parts. DC |

Re: MVVS engines
Great Hobbies lists Evolution engines on their web site. they appear to have quite a few parts and glow engines in stock. Some gas engines are also listed but none are in stock.
