I have a Zenoah G26 EI. I've heard that you have to keep the EI module away from the receiver to avoid interference (I'm using a Futaba 2.4 Ghz receiver). I was thinking of mounting the module on the firewall, beside the engine.
Would the heat in this area be too much for the module? It is going to be mounted on the forward side of the firewall, 1/4" above the engine.
This is my first gas engine and the instructions don't have any mention of where to mount the module.

I have mounted EI's on the engine mount/firewall without any problems. I mount the receiver further back in the plane to avoid any interference problems, though I am told with 2.4 there shouildn't be any problems.

I have several gassers, module usually gets mounted on the motor box somewhere. Top, side, not often on the bottom as I run rear carb engines that spit, and drip a little.
