I have one specific for this purpose that I bought from Spektrum if you want to try it. It seems that wide open throttle and the surge of power that the motor was drawing momentarily caused the receiver to "think" that there was not enough juice in the battery and it would go into shut down until the voltage came back up. Adding the Spektrum capacitor to the receiver completely eliminated this problem for me and someone else I know.
I've heard of guy's using the cap on there 4cell 1/12 dsm rx. (I tried the 7.4 lipo's and 7.2 nihm - both fully charged) I didn't have a problem with the GTX or the GTS. Do you think the older fusion is the problem?

Thanks guys, for all your help. I'll bring the car Sunday just in case someone can help me figure it out. At this point I've tried almost everything - other than an ESC. This recent problem might just be the straw that broke the camels back.

On a side note my 4wd is running better than ever. Maybe you can all call me "C" Main Donnie!! Respect.

Smile

Thanks to everyone and there suggestions. I would like to thank Patrick Chan, owner of Much Hobbies in Richmond Hill http://www.muchhobby.com/ for walking me through this problem step by step. After checking everything once and then again twice, we found a problem with the digit servo. It seems that the older Novak ESCs aren't so digit servo friendly. After swapping out the S9451 for an old school S3003 and performing a few more tests everything looks a-okay. See you Sunday. Donavan
