I just opened up my collari 21b7 and after about a gallon i have this dark pink colour on my button head +piston and sleeve

i am running sidewinder, and it makes sense that it will do it but i have run sidewinder in many of my other engines and it hasnt made it THAT dark ever.r

200-220 eh?
you got me stumped. maybe what i hear about "Sidewinder gummung an engine fast" is true then... it should be fine.

oh ya, actually, i run my HPI T-15 at 200*F also, and i get mad browning on my piston, and head, but its perfectly fine. (ive ran it like this for over a season, and still my most reliable engine ever) i ran 20/12 sidewinder in it, and JUST switched to 30/12 for 1 jug

It's normal that "pink stuff" is varnish, easy to clean dissasemble your engine, use a soft clean cloth and some brake cleaner to remouve the varnish. Don't forget to reoil the piston and sleeve, conrod bushings, and the crank bearings.

so i guess; one way to look at it is that you KNOW that your engine has enough oil in it to keep a good long life....

isnt it true that the sidewinder has afterrun additive in it ? would this be a reason for the pinkish colour ?
