Charging box -- fireproof container

OK, Safety Code says what we should be doing....

What are YOU using for
1) Storage of each lipoly pack?
2) Container for charging?

Photos are helpful.

I've heard of using 30mm/.50Cal ammo boxes from the military surplus (what we oldies used to call WAR SURPLUS).

Whatever you do with them, don't put them in any sealed container. If it's sealed, and you have a problem, you will have created a recipe for a bomb. Seal expanding gases, and it will make a big boom. An ammo box, left open will direct any gases, (and flames if they occur) straight up. The "lipo bunkers" have a lid, but it is set up from the top of the pot. (these are the clay pots guy's are making specificly for lipo use).

I personally don't do anything extreme. I monitor the charges at all times, and always watch it for a while afterwords. I generally charge my batteries at the field so I can watch them. I'm afraid I'll fall asleep if I do it at home.

Once I'm home, I put them in my tx box and set them where they won't get knocked off a bench or something stupid.

I was handed a small metal box (about the size of the change-maxing boxes that you see) -- Thanks Jim!

I'm also looking at a Pyrex meatloaf form which should do as well. Cra**y Tire has these for $8Cdn wihtout lids.

Comments?
