Re: 126" Carden Extra 300 - BBT - Build Thread
Swwwweeeetttt!
The build is done! I got it all finish sanded today and it's ready for covering. Tonight I'll give my workshop a thorough cleaning and scrub the floors so that everything is dust free for the start of covering Monday/Tuesday!!! Man this plane is huge! I have almost the exact same pics of the 40% Edge and this makes my 40% look like a 35%!!! |

Jack!!
Since there's a small 4200km distance between us, I shot a small video of the plane set-up to get you as close as possible to the plane. If you listen closely, you'll hear Patty say hi to you!!!!
Cheers Trev |

I have had success with UPS Freight to a business address. Cheap (way cheaper than going to get it although not as fun ) I've used a bunch - Yellow, BAX, Roadway, FedEx freight etc... UPS Freight were the cheapest and all of them were good the deal with and didn't manage to bustt he plane (although Yellow tried but the crate survived.) I shipped a 40% Krill Yak in a 130lb crate from Cali to Edmonton for $275 via UPS Freight. Shipping to business vs. home address saves about 40 to 50%.

Re: 126" Carden Extra 300 - BBT - Build Thread
Hey Jack,
I'm not sure if this has been mentioned before on here but if your going to have it shipped make the crate uneven.. what i mean by that is make it so when it is sitting nothing can be stacked on it make one corner way lower then the rest.. like one side 30" high and the othe side 20" high so there's a good slope to the top of it. |

Re: 126" Carden Extra 300 - BBT - Build Thread
That works for sure - the Comp ARF crates are like that. Also don't put anything in the lower 6" of the crate because thats where they always drive the forks through. Out good size skids on it too...
I had forks go through the crate once (Yellow) but they passed under the wings and fuse so no damage
