Fantrainer
Hello,
I am interested in the Fantrainer, is it for sale? Or, how much would you charge me for a set of plans? Regards, Daniel. |

They fly nice, very stable, not super fast.
Good way to start as a basic jet/fan trainer.

Fan trainer
I bought one of these kits on ebay a while ago. I was still in denial at that point that I was mortal and would not be able to build 5000 kits in my life. I paid too much as I recall (typical). If any of you are interested I may sell. It has the starter cord and a three blade pusher prop as well. If you pool your funds you could copy the formers for those who would like to scratch build. I don't have the time to copy them myself. And have no idea when I would get to it. If there is any interest let me know. Greg

Hobby Dynamics RFB-600 FanTrainer
I have one of these flying. The weak point iare the booms. Yyou should strengthen them so you can pick the model up by them alone with no damage.
I have added a FOD screen to mine on the bottom half. One prop per flight is to much . [Stone chips on the prop] The Tornado props work the best. Better than the Master Airscrew ones, even though the MA ones have one higher pitch. THe cord is much narrower than the Tornado props and gives less thrust than the Tornado .I have been told by my LHS that the Tornado props are not available anymore. I also start the motor with a large o ring and my electric starter. Much better than the pull start system. I found that I have to start the engine at a higher idle setting so the prop blows the o ring clear. The o ring needs to be made of neoprene . The rubber ones stretch to much. The a/c is tail heavy so move the servos as far forward as you can. Mine are one bulkhead forward of where the plans show. It is a DUCTED FAN trainer & does "NOT" fly like a BASIC PROP TRAINER |
