Re-Maiden??? Is that possible

Well after letting it sit all of last year and most of the winter i finally got my Euro-Hobbies .40 size beaver back in the air tonight. I have made it easy to switch from wheels to floats, and tonight was the first time i flew it on wheels (hence remaiden?). Anyways it has a new .46 TT Pro in the nose which is tons of power for this bird. I flew around for a long time (approx. 10-12 minutes) and landed because i thought i would be close to being out of fuel. Took the wing off and i still had over 1/2 a tank!!! When i went back up again i took a quick look at the stick while flying. I was right around 1/2 throttle most of the time. Full throttle increased speed a bit but not anywhere in proportion to the increase in throttle. This baby just floats around out there and after the first landing i was able to land on the mains and cruise down the road and back off again (touch and go's are a blast with this baby!!) Anyways looking forward to the ice being gone to get er on the water again. Tonight also marks the first time ever that i have 3 planes hanging from the ceiling that are all ready to go! I have had as many as 7 planes but never more than 2 flyable at a moments notice.

Cheers

Geoff

Re: Re-Maiden??? Is that possible

The Kelly is now residing in New Orleans. I put it in e-bay (last fall) with a pretty decent price and a guy took it. He paid all the shipping to. Just about $150 in shipping costs!!!! I figure he could have bought a new one with what the total cost was, but whatever his choice. That plane was just way to fast for me!! the pucker factor was 2 high every time i took it up.

Sent you a PM back

HA HA way to funny man. I still have a pucker factor 10 plane myself.... my F22 Raptor with my .61 GMS in it. TRAINER PLANE MY A**!!!! This thing is fast and will bite you in the a** if you aren't on your toes. Trav won't even touch it anymore
I am contemplating on selling it too because of the speed. Getting to old and shakey for such a plane. ANYBODY INTERESTED????

Curt,

Where is the speed coming from?? Do you think it from the GMS .61 in a .46 airframe ?
