Not sure what to think, I picked up a 1/4 scale Robart landing gear kit and to me at least, the set appears a bit narrow (1/8" on each side) for my BUSA J3 cub. Has anyone dealt with this before?

If you were not previously aware of it, you are now.

No two manufacturer's scale model kits are identical in size or shape.

Go to the Robart web site. You will find the various models of J3 Cub gear listed, along with their widths at the fuselage. It shows you which model fits which kit.

I know it's tough to look up, so I'll give you a helpful hint. You'll find that the Sig 1/4 scale Cub has a slightly narrower fuselage than the BUSA 1/4 scale kit. So they use a different Robart gear.

Wy not explain your dilema to Robart and see if your existing gear can ecomomically be refitted with a few parts for your wider fuselage?

ahh ha, I bought the gear used. So I guess it's time to find someone to swap some goodies with.
