Re: l.e.d. lights
Would it not be easier to work with a prebuilt set such as these?
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbycity/s...dProduct=17897 Found these with only a quick search. They can handle up to 6V. Is it necessary to run them at 9V? If so there may be some kits that will.

Re: l.e.d. lights
hello no they do not have to run on 9v i have the tamiya 1/14 scale tractor trailers and i want to add some clearance lights on the front and rear of the trailers as well as running lights on the side .i have the l.e.d. strip lights from walmart that run on 12v i have different colours to match my trucks most people i have talked to tell me i can not use them i have to build my own but when i go in the electronic stores that sell the parts they know nothing about how to do it which is why i am looking for someone in my area to build some for me and what would be the cost to me

Re: l.e.d. lights
all my trucks have the multi function units in them that give you basic lights tail,back/up/brake/clearance lights for tractor/headlights /signals/hazzard so i want to put other lights on a separate circuit so i do not overload the mfu.i added bumper guide lights and back of the bunk lights using basic light kit that has switch and runs on 9v

Re: l.e.d. lights
If you're just after some lights wired together with a switch, I could definitely help you out. Are the lights already put into mounts of any type, or do you even have the individual LED's yet?
I wouldn't charge for my time, so if you provided all the materials it would be free. From what I can see, it would just be a bunch of LED's (probably 12v unless you can find 9v LED's), some small heat shrink tubing, a couple feet of small wire, a 9v battery plug with pigtails and a switch.

Re: l.e.d. lights
I would also assume since weight isn't a factor here you would opt to run them on their own power source. That way you have better control of the voltage and current.
Love to see pics of the rig. Sounds interesting.
