Gasser Heli OIL opinions needed!!!!!!
OK Calling all gasser heli pilots. What are you using for oil? I have been using Amsoil Dominator 50/1 with good luck. I have heard that Penzoil 100% Synth is another prime choice. What are you running?

Sounds like you already have something that works for you.
Personally I was running redline in my gasser heli, and still do in my gasser plank. Any good synthetic oil is fine imo.

Have not tried the Penzoil marine synth. but it is recomended by Chris Bergen of Bergen helicopters. I have tried klotz R50 and Redline synth. Both made me think that I had a bad clutch and or engine with high freq. vibs(fuel foaming in the tank).After a talk on the phone with Bergen we narrowed it down to the oil I was running,they said to run the Penzoil that I cannot buy here(of course). So I tried Amsoil saber with ok results so far mixed 25-1. I need to get to the US to pick up some of the Penzoil marine full synthetic,they say that is the shiz.

B H Hanson and Chris Bergen both highly recommend the pennzoil and everywhere i read on the american heli sites!!
Everyone on helifreaks and runryder that own gasser heli's swear by this product. Brian you so need to find a source for this stuff!!! Im sure theres a few of us that would place an order!!  its nice to dream i guess!!!!!

Interesting research so far. The penzoil is listed on the US site but no mention of it on the Canadian website. I see a challenge here. Mission accepted.

Rock dryden is not that far from the states? How far a trip would it be for you to pick some of it up?

It's a two hour drive not too far from here.Just have to finnish renewing my passport. If I can get down there by summer I will bring back enough for anyone that wants some.

OK i think i might have found the cure for us rc heli pilots flying gassers!
http://oil-store.com/ Carrys PENNZOIL MARINE 100% SYNTHETIC OUTBOARD 2-CYCLE OIL and to see if they shipped to canada i clicked the buy it option and shipping to canada is available. I sent their contact email a message to confirm they would ship it to me! I guess ill have to settle for a gallon of it seeing as they do not sell it by the litre, but id rather have to much instead of none!! When i get a responce ill update my findings!
