Great Hobbies Lipos
Anyone try these yet? Are they any good? Looking to get my first lipos and have no idea what to get. Looking for something for a slash 4x4 that i might try some carpet racing with. Most things i read about lipos are ones that the hobby stores here in GTA do sell.
Any help Thanks |

Re: Great Hobbies Lipos
Tried 2 packs for my Gaui X5 before (4200mah - 6S 25C). They are decent LiPos.
But best back for the buck, as Paladin posted, buy GensAce. |

Re: Great Hobbies Lipos
I used to use up the cheaper lipos, but due to a couple bad orders, I have switched over to the GH lipos. I have found them to be excellent performers at a decent price.
I run a pair of 3S, 5000mah, 50C in my Tekin powered E-Maxx. They are the Gen3 - very tight fit but lots of drivetrain destroying power. I have a pair of 2S, 2200mah, 35C for my mini Revo. Again Gen3, tight fit and plenty of power. An older Gen 2 hardcase 4S 5000mah in my SC8e. Had to tune my throttle curve way down to control the traction. I just picked up a 2S 5000mah, 50C for my 4x4 slash, but haven't had a chance to run it yet.

My SC8e and E-Maxx are fairly heavy units and use very power hungry brushless systems and the GH batteries seem to handle it very well. I am sure that the stock VXL system in the Slash or any of the aftermarket BL systems for the shortcourse trucks will be OK with one of the 50C GH batteries.
