Started fitting some coro skis to the Tripehound...it'll be a good match for the DH2 speed wise. Jon and I midaired heavily last week while formation flying and I lost a Corsair. My other two are ready to go.

Streamingrad/All cuttin at the Eastern Front

Yee Haww,

I was able to pospone our 10th annual icefishing/RC flying trip north of Peterborough a week or two so I can make it to Cobble Hills Sunday.

Hopefully I can snag a lift with Humber Hawks or someone else local, because I only like to trust the old Mazda PU as far as I can push it ! ! ! hehehe.

I have some skiis I can jury rig on the Spad VII. (mabee it will track better on takeoff !) I beleive I have over 20 combat rounds flown with this plane and I like it. Sport flew it quite a bit last summer, other than the squirrelly takeoffs, the bugs have been worked out. I havn't fallen in love with it but I would like to take it to the S.M.A.L.L event in Ottawa in July...

Last time my Typhoon flew was at the Nats in 34 deg Humidex. Should fly even better in cooler denser air... I'll wail together the prototype Typhoon/Hurricane wing for it. (Drywall tape/packing tape covering)
I have the last FulmarMk4 as backup/balloon buster...

I'm sure Trafalgar Ales and Meads can provide some wares for the prize table... I'll snag some long skinny balloons from the party store...

The challenge of flying in winter conditions...
The challenge of Maac Scale Combat...
What a combination !

I Always have a great time flying with the Maac Scale Combat "Flying Circus"...

Take care,
Have fun,

CobbleHills scramble

Glad to hear that Dave and Thanks for the donation. Its great that Gary the Bent one is going to make it as well.It would have been an unabashed shame if those two did not make it. I was not going to fly WW 1 but with all the potential victims Heir Robostrauss will be a fittin a pair of ski's because of the point filled sky. Forecast is still the same as the first post.

Ok,

So back to my question that has nothing to do with any of the replies above, Jeff and Mike... how much are YOUR WW1 planes weighing in at? And what are YOU powering them with? YOUR specific planes I'm asking about.

Thanks guys, but I dont need to be pointed to the rules. Its just a little survey I'm doing.

WEIGHT

DAN, MY DH 2 CAME IN AT 4LBS. AND 6 OZS. I SWITCHED TO AN FX AS THE THUNDER TIGER COULD NOT PROVIDE ENOUGH POWER TO KEEP IT FLYING. SEEMS THAT PUSHERS DO NOT GET THE SAME THRUST AS TRACTORS. THIS IS THE SECOND GENERATION PROTO TYPE THE FIRST ONE USED WOODEN TAIL BOOMS AND IT WAS JUST TOO TAIL HEAVY NOW I AM USING THE CARBON FIBER RODS THAT ONE WOULD USE IN FOAMIES FOR THE TAIL AND IT HAS MADE ALL THE DIFFERANCE. ALTHOUGH IT PUT THE COST OF THIS BIRD UP QUITE CONSIDERABLY
