Does anyone have reference to this kit being built with a 2 or 3 piece wing. I suppose it could be figured out but it would be nice to see it beforehand. I already have 3- 84-85" one piece wings and that's not going to happen again.

Thanks but I know it's a 1 piece wing design. I'm looking too see if anyone has any information on a build that has modified that design to a 2 or 3 piece wing. Packing around a 91" 1 piece is a major PITA even though I have a trailer.

Given the dihedral, I'd personally go for a 3 pc wing, with the separation point at the flap/aileron join, with either a wing tube, or tab and slots on the main spar, certainly not difficult to do either one, and would shave things down to a manageable transport size.

I have a Ziroli P40 Warhawk done that way too.
With the availability of carbon fibre wing tube and sleeves, just a bit of engineering thoughts to it, QED. Free bump for such a wonderful package. Alex |
