As usual there were a good number of Canadian flyers at the NEAT Fair (Northeast Electric Aircraft Technology Fair) this year.

I've posted some of my NEAT 2008 photos on my flickr site here

There are ~80 or so in the set I put up on flickr. If you don't have an account on flickr (free btw) you won't be able to see the full size pics, so look for the slideshow button (top right) since that will show higer res than if you look at the individual pics.

I didn't take as many pics as I would have liked this year; too much flying, esp. at night so I didn't get any night pics! Sigh.

This is a very enjoyable event in spite of the predictably bad weather.

The night flying is also great. I was flying 99% of the time at night so I didn't personally take any night flying pics, but fellow OREO club member Jim Hall took lots of great night shots (and daytime too!) which can be found here:

Hopefully we'll see even more fellow Canadian flyers there next year!

Thanks for pointing that out, I thought I'd corrected it earlier but I guess not! It should be working now.

nice pictures.love the back ground scenery.that is one nice field they got there.field of dreams.would love to fly my giant scale plane at that field.

Was a post made of the dates? I thought this hadn't happened yet.

What is tpically the date? 1st or 2n or 3rd week of Sept?

NEAT 2009 will be held Sept. 18, 19, 20 2009 so mark your calendar!

The event website is http://www.neatfair.org/

Next year's is a little later than typical, it was Sept 12, 13, 14 this year.

By the way, if you're planning on going next year, beware that spots for ez-ups on the flight line disappear quickly the day before the event starts. We were there at 9am the day before it started and were still a long way down the flight line. Next year we'll probably travel a day earlier yet to get there two days before the official start of the event.
