I would be interested in hearing if your club has maximum noise levels for you field. If you do please post here on RC Canada, thanks.

Re: Noiose Levels

Our club does, CARFF in Red Deer.

We have a noise restriction of 99dba @ 9 ft from the engine at 12" from the ground.

Cheers,

Will

Re: Noiose Levels

Saint John Model Flying club here
We used to have an informal limit of 92 db at 10 feet but since we moved to our present field (over 10 years ago) we do not have any limits as there are no houses with in 5km of us.

Post Re: Noiose Levels

Wow, this last post just killed this thread. So the obvious high level limit as per MAAC for which non-club members as well should adhere to as well to respect thy neighbors.

Re: Noiose Levels

The club I belong to has none. Ever heard a Rossi 90 with header pipe only?

Re: Noiose Levels

at our club we have no noise restrictions,we are out in the boonies with no housing developent in sight.we are pretty lucky and i feel bad for the clubs who have noise restrictions in place.it sucks that clubs are losing their fields due to housing developement and noise.
