Talking Nitro onroad racing this summer

Yes, we are a go for onroad racing this summer!!!

As of right now all that I can say is that we have a place (a really good place) for racing that is in the Halifax area, and will be announced in the weeks to come, along with a schedule for the summer.

The official racing class will be 1/10th 4wd open, which will be 200 touring cars foams, any small block motor (.12-.15) and a WSC body and 235 onroad foams, any .15 big block motor and a WSC body.

The other classes will be 200 touring with taxi cab body (when and if enough cars come out) and of coarse 1/8th open where anything goes.

Lastly anyone that brings any onroad car elec, nitro, if there is no class to be put in will be given track time between races.

Sounds good, but don't you think there should be a 1/10 sedan electric class... That will get some on road people out, get them addicted to nitro on road, then they buy one, and the rest will be history

Izzy,

We need to consult each other on scheduling so that we don't take racers away from each other...

Dirt's For Racing. Pavement's for getting there, right Mike?
LOL!

I agree with mike though. We definetly don't want to be forcing racers to decide between on and off road racing. Who knows. some of us might even start racing both classes!

As far as an electric class, I think it would be a great idea. Look at all of the indoor racers that could start coming out from the legion and running their electric sedans?

GoodSmoke,

If enough people reply to me (5 or more) about elec touring then ya we'll set up a class for them to race.

iflybyu,

I wouldn't do it any other way, let me know when you get back in town and get a free day.

Maxx,

Not tring to start anything here but
Dirt is for potatoes...
Asphalt is for racing!

Im all game for onroad. I'll get a Nitro TC3.

As for electric touring, I'll do it if enough people want to. As for now, put me down for racing it.

Chris,

Right now I'm tring to build up the 1/10th open so pick yourself up a WSC body for that TC3

So far I'm getting a really good responce from racers so It's looking like it will be a good summer of racing.

I still disagree.

In all honesty, though i don't think i'd be involved in it (this coming season, anyway) but I would, however, love to see on-road racing take off.

One idea would be to Arrange on-road races for those of us that have Off-road trucks a few times, until you get the numbers higher with the onroad cars.

MaxxMaster,

I'm not saying that your idear of racing trucks on asphalt is a bad one but the whole purpose of starting the onroad racing club is to try and bring the onroad cars back and is not meant to compete with the offroaders, so the short of it is there will be no onroad truck racing.
