Ok boys here's the fix! It's real simple
No marshals at all, you crash you get it yourself.

Re: SOSS Race #2 - July 1st 2012

i try to get my boys out to marshal all the time and if they don't marshal i smack them in the head lol. so next time they don't forget i try to tell them to be patient and wait for the oportunity to pass marky sometimes gets a little excited when racing but i try to stay on top of him to keep him in line i guess it is sometimes hard for new racers to get to learn throttle control so go out and practice practice it's what makes perfect driving skills.

Marky is no slouch. We all make mistakes.

I felt bad for him when he was forced into a stop and go, but I'm sure the decision was note made lightly by Jay. On the other hand it is encouraging to see penalties handed out.

Thanks for proving it was possible Rui.
I did the same thing. lol. Off the back side of the track. I hit the throttle a couple of times to get the marshals attention. From the drivers stand you can not see the vehicle. Is it upside down??. I only got mid field and never hit the crops. LOL.

"Nitros of the Corn"

For the 'new' guys or lurkers. I think they may get a bad taste or vib. This is no way of any indication of what goes on. This is only my 2nd race running 1/8th scale nitro. Sure I am going to make mistakes and be slower. Kept my nose clean all day on Sunday and had a blast.

1 thing that I would like to post up is how the Truggy mains were posted up. I am not upset in anyway/shape or form. I am new to this so please take this with a grain of salt.

Truggy A-Main had 12 people. Truggy B-Main had 6 with 2 bumps (or 1 bump- not sure). I think only 1 bumped.

So now we have 13-14 truggys and 5-4 marshals for the A-Main an asking for volinteers on a hot day.

If you have some issues with a driver bring it up with the race director. If it a seasoned racer than shame on him/her. If it a newbie like myself than it can be dealt with in a proper manner.

See you soon. Love the track and making me a better driver. Place rocks!

Re: SOSS Race #2 - July 1st 2012

I take it we have moved on from Hacking and moved on to the more pleasant subject or Marshalling. Anyone have any comments on pitting? I seen a few guys laughing at me while i was pitting for Rohde. I'm glad i can be amusing sometimes for your viewing enjoyment. So here is my beef about pitting. If anyone wants me to pit for them i will under the following conditions.

1. Don't yell at me like Jay does.
2. Don't tell me i am too slow to fuel
3. Make sure you don't ask me to tune your motor.
4. Have the starter box set up to fit on your can without having to look under the car to line it up
5. Make sure you don't flame out because i am not chasing your car around the track
6. Don't tell me if its time to come in. I tell you when you should come in.
7. Make sure you ask everyone else if they can pit you first.
