Locating servos while installing the floor. They should be well hidden under the seat.Hey Nigel,I seem to have misplaced part 303 which is a fitting for the fin where it joins at the front.I'm just wondering if its a standard fitting or something else.

Re: GTM 1/3 Fokker D-7

Steve, the elastic was purchased from a dress making shop. It's just silver or metallic elastic as I recall. Plenty of it on eBay

As for the part #303, it's only a bit of tube flattened at one end that sits over the dowel. I'll snap a picture of what I have done with mine as I have made it myself from brass as the supplied part was aluminium.

Later . . . .

Got the fin installed.Has some right deflection as per the plans and the full scale..Going to add the tail rigging cables now and then setup the pull pull cables and then get back in the cockpit to add some more goddies there...

Re: GTM 1/3 Fokker D-7

I see you have put a shim under the front fitting on the fin Steve.

When I first put the assembly together after building off the plans I noticed the lower tube of the fin would be pinching the fabric on the horizontal stabiliser. I contacted Glenn about this and he says that it is correct for it to pinch the fabric. This will also happen on the lower surface as the horizontal stab in fixed down to the fuselage.

I have not altered my fin yet but I was looking along the lines of what you have done there. Have you also cut the profile of the fin into the lower beam?? Can't see properly in the picture.

Re: GTM 1/3 Fokker D-7

Congrats Claudio;feel free to ask questions or post comments on the DVII.Nigel I went with square stock n the bottom and then removed about 1/8".It will still come in contact with the fabric on the stab but not pinching into it.It seemed to be way to much as it was so I did some fudging.I think I can see what you mean about the lower surface(stab) pinching the fuse.
