Interplane strut "Cuffs"

Does anyone have a good method for making those "pesky" strut cuffs that fair the interplane strut into the wing? I have glued up soft balsa and sanded away but never got anything that was good enough to keep. My plans say "make F/G cuffs to suit!" Ya but how? I have two struts on each side but thankfully no cabanes as this is a cabin Waco bipe that I am trying to scale up pretty! Since no two are the same I must make 8 different cuffs! Help!!

Thanks

Re: Interplane strut "Cuffs"

Hi James,

Thanks for helping me out with the Koveral info some time ago. It's been awhile....

A fellow on here that goes by the handle "planecrazy" used an ingenuitive method of building fairings for his Arado. He used plastacene to build male molds then laid them up with fibreglass.

He's a great guy and hopefully he'll speak up....

Trevor
