I think a short summary is due.

Bryan Regular put on an awesome show! He came to the event with Leon and Mike to compete for a wildcard spot, and got into the competition. During Friday and Saturday he threw down some great flights. It was a pleasure to hang out with Bryan... great guy and a great pilot! To think he's only been flying for 7 months… up and coming for sure!

Leon also flew great flights all weekend! It's always a pleasure to fly with Leon... very down to earth, and a lot of fun to hang out with! His flying has improved a lot since last year.... much lower and more extreme! Good job Leon!

Scott, at the top of the Canadian pack showed us how it's done! He had two unfortunate mishaps but managed to pull of a very high standing! Scott and his wife Lauren are always a blast to hang out with.

I have to give it to my friend Bobby Watts for flying some of the best freestyle flights I've ever seen. I've known Bobby since we were both flying raptor 30s, and his modest attitude for the hobby has not changed. He definitely got the standing he disserves!

It would take way to many pages to cover the whole event. Everyone involved with the XFC did an excellent job running the show. All of the competitors are a riot to hang out with, and the fact that everyone looks out for each other (regardless of brands/sponsorships/nationality etc.) makes the competition that much more enjoyable.

Phil, when are you coming to help judge the event!?!

Colin

Colin,

Thanks for the blurb on the event.

As for the judging - I think they already think us Canucks have too much of an advantage with 20% of the competitors being from Canada. So they probably would not want 20% of the judges from here also

Yo Phil!

You going to GAFF this year? It's the weekend following this one coming up, and if you need somewhere to stay for the time between the Provincial Funfly and the long weekend give us a call.

Hi Stephen,

Thanks for the great offer, unfortunately I am already commited for next weekend.

I did have a great time at the ERCHA event this past weekend in Edmonton (That 24 hours on the road is getting to be a loonnnggg drive for an oldfart like me ). Leon and Brian were really layin' it all down. It would have been great if you and Colin would have been there also.

This summer I will probably stay more in the west - maybe do one event in Ontario in August (Ottawa) after the WC's.

Airfares, now that the airlines are making money, are really getting up there. .

But I am looking forward to the next time we can get together - maybe next spring.
