The new RC Pro Canada Website is online (has been for a week now). As soon as our Directors become familiar with the site we should start getting some information posted. The current schedule is posted now and there maybe an additional division added soon.

Does RC Pro in Canada run the same way?

Ie. Gated starting grid?

Basically, we run the races how the club runs them. I have only seen one gated start setup since I started racing, and I'd love to see that setup used all over. Up in Quesnel they had a timed gate made and the interval of dropping was adjustable.... it was the coolest thing I had ever seen

we used the flag, drop the car, and go when flag raised start last weekend. seems to work out good

Darn, I really wanted to see a gated start. Since the videos of RC pro look crazy starting that way!

I killed the gate at the end of 2005 because of so many complaints about getting broke on the start. Also I was tired of the start deciding in so many cases who won based on who survived the start.

If the tracks were designed for them like the CORR or MX tracks it might work better but with no chance of injury too many people don't back off instead of wrecking people.
