It is best to get there first thing in the morning..often the wind picks up around noon, and the lake can get pretty choppy...

I come from southern ontario, the wind capital of canada!

(Seriously though, my 9yr old has swimming lessons on Saturday mornings, finishing at 11:00, so I don't really have a choice.)

ah yes.....it is not the wind, but what the wind causes - waves and turbulence.. Don't forget, you are flying in the mountains now...don't think they have those where you came from.....

Not much of a mountain, but we sure had the wind, the waves, and the turbulance!!!
