Hi guys, I really had a great time, was really nice to meet all you guys to put faces with handles. Couldn't have asked for better weather, with all that sun behind our backs, the jets shinned with colour (color for our US friends ). Looking forward to meet all my new friends someday at Jet events.

Nony,
There was only a few minor mishaps (mainly ducted fan jets going deadstick and resuled in some scrapes and landing gear damage) and two df jets were written off. One turbine jet was pretty beat upon deadsticking just off the runway and another ripped out the gear doing the same.

But there was flying steady from 9am to allmost 5pm, and many times there was 3 to 5 planes up - very seldom was a single plane flying.

I thought flying my jets with so many others would be "scary" but I found it just like a normal fun fly (I am used to flying 5 pilots up) and with your spotter you knew what was happening allways.

Pilots allways called landing/takeoff, etc.

I managed two flights on my Super Reaper, and will now start to wring it out since I am actually getting to fly it now. I had two good landings, but on the 2nd I touched my one wingtip and canard on the runway turning too soon after touchdown. I broke a few hinges in the one canard, and its allready repaired (this evening) and ready to go again.

Marc flew his Reaper and that Tango like a man posessed! He is awesome, and did a lot of low level aerobatics.

I have to say, I was flying a bit on the conservative side, being at a new venue and such, and being a bit (just a wee bit) nervous I didnt go as low and close in as I usually do But next year....

Yeah I know Marc is a wild and crazy guy...... I came upon an article on the net mentioning someone doing aerobatics and tumbles with a CL-415....it was Marc....he confessed!!!

I don't suppose you guys managed to have the Great Reaper Race, did you????

No, for some reason we didnt! But I will say, his reaper with a Wren 54 goes a heck of a lot faster than mine did. I think the very smooth, fibreglassed and painted airframe with nothing hanging out (and his LG are very compact compared to mine) have a lot to do with it, while mine has many things stuck out on the airframe (like switches, fuel cut off, antenna, servos, etc) all that drag adds up.

But I am pretty sure at full bore I am faster

Hey guys,

I also have a "future pit crew" photo I'd like to share; This is my daughter Evelyn. The controls were given to her (on DSC cord) at her own insistance. (Thanks to John for lending me his camera!)
