I agreee with the last emoticon ...... I think that would be a blast!
I was at the Heli Boys flying field ... a few years ago .... with my funfly plane and there was a flat bed trailer (18 wheel type) parked at the feild so I started doing touch and goes and landings on it ..... it was fun!! Jim Moss

By the looks of the pic, it was taken some years ago!
They didn't have the planes that would slow up and stop the way we do today, they needed a hook or they would have got wet!! Jim Moss

I'd say they would have problems with the new field layout guidelines/rules. Obviously weren't thinking safety first-the pilot station should have been in the 'tower'.
The batman will have to wave this guy off to do another landing approach

aircraft carrier
As to landing on a carrier- think about a Herc landing on one
Before you think that it could never happen, ... Apparently, it did. IN 1963.

Not only did the C-130 land on a carrier but it took off as well. They painted an offset center line as a guide which if correctl followed gave the right wing tip about 10 feet of clearance from the island.
There is a picture some where which I have seen several times. |
