Well lets start this with a Happy Birthday then. Now yah kinda snuck this one in on us I was thinking when I asked that this was just a small lathe not something weighing almost a ton. . Not sure how much shipping was but Iimaging for the size in comparison to small planes etc that it was very reasonable. Enjoy present to self

Re: Shipping by Hobby King

Just want to say that I had a bit of everything as far as delayed shipping from HK, but I'm always happy with them.

Two days ago though, they set a record for me! I needed an ESC and I had a store credit to cover it. Used the $2.99 shipping option. Added two little gizmo that would fit in the same package for the same 100gr fee. Clicked buy. (had to pay for the $2.99 btw, shipping doesn't seem to be covered by store credits...). Well, 10 hours later I received my tracking number as the items were shipped! Now, that's pretty good. Find the parts, weight the parts, print the labels, box everything, get tracking and ship within 10 hours. That's not the HK I used to deal with for sure!

Thing I hate about UPS is them doing the customs, they always hose people. But, if you do not have a broker you stuck.

You know what UPS is charging with Grizzly before they ship and now Grizzly is picking up the brokerage fees. It’s a promotion and they list the fees UPS can charge brokerage. The shipping fees are calculated and paid as part of the machine order and right now because of the special the brokerage is discounted from the machine. All UPS collects is the HST that was paid at the border

Personal Use Brokerage Rates
Order Value for Duty (CAD) Total
$0.01 - $200.00 $10.00
$200.01-$1600.00 $25.00
$1600.01 - $5000.00 $50.00
$5000.01 and above $75.00
Please note that UPS will collect the appropriate GST and PST from you directly.
