can someone please tell me what receive i need for a xr3i transmitter, i just bought the transmitter but i don't know what receiver i need for it, can i use different brand of receivers? i'm looking for something cheap...please help

with a jr radio you can obviously use any jr reciever on the same modulation (75mhz FM is normal for that radio in north america)... you can also use an airtronics receiver... in either case you need to make sure that you have matching channels on the radio and receiver...

He is referring to having the same frequency crystals in the transmitter (TX)and the receiver ( RX)...

They suggest to use their own brand I think but I've found them pretty universal, never had an issue

there is a crystal out there that u can use on every tyoe of radio not sure what its called.
