there are 2 kinds of chargers PEAK and TIMED... you cannon have a timed peak chager... so the 959 is a peak meaning not timed

not at all happy with the 959 have two and both give different voltage readouts for the same battery.
Im gonna get a duratrax ice.
i have an intellipeak now and its great.
also a tekin bc 112c
2 astro flite
1 super brain 919? the first one any way

when i plug them all in the lights go dim in the house.
I also own about 30 batts so it is great to get them all up and charged in about 2 1/2 hours.
want to see if tekin has an upgrade to get the old 112c to do nimh.

I have a TEKIN BC112c also....They are upgrading the software to i believe it is H31 for optimal charging of NIMH. You have to go on their site
& get a return authorization for service.... I think the upgrade is like $60.00 better than shelling out the same or more for a mediocre charger

Just so you guys are clear on this... the 969 (and I assume 959) and in fact a peak charger.. BUT you can set them to run as a timed charger if you want as well! I don't really know why you would want to, but you can. Actually I guess if you just want to charge your battery half way you can do that.. but then you can also limit the Mah it will charge as well.

I have a 969 and I love it. One of my favourite chargers I have owned... and I've had some good ones! Pitbull and LRP Pulsar Pro, but I really do like the 969.

I have the new Vision Peak Ultra from Dynamite I prefer it from the 959 and the 969.

The new Vision Peak Ultra from Dynamite features adjustable charge rates and works equally well with Ni-Cd, Ni-MH, and Li-Po packs. With a multi-function LCD and an LED charge indicator to monitor your battery, it's a simple and safe way to recharge your cells and get back on the track. It also offers an automatic trickle charge and a ventilated case.

# Charges virtually all 1- to 8-cell Ni-Cd and Ni-MH battery packs and 1- to 3-cell Li-Po battery packs
# Adjustable charge rates from 0.1A to 5A for Ni-Cd and Ni-MH battery packs
# Adjustable charge rates from 0.1A to 2.5A for Li-Po battery packs
# Multi-function LCD shows charge time, current and voltage
# Input and output circuit protection
# Automatic trickle charge
