HZ SuperCub Floats
I just picked up a new set of HZ Floats; I used a clear plastic sheeting to cover the plastic bottoms to make them a little stronger.
Has anyone tried to inject spray foam into them before? I would think it would make it a little stronger also a bit heavier. Has anyone done anything to make them stronger? I'm heading out this weekend and want to re enforce them a bit before hand. |

I spray foamed a set of balsa floats once. I made the mistake of wiping off the excess as it exited the float. This created an instant skin and seal, the foam kept expanding, split all the seams and turned the front up like a banana. Good luck!!!

I think I might try it after next weekend. I'll take pics and post them! Thanks for the tip I wont touch them until after they dry.

I've been flying the stock floats for a couple of years. No need to upgrade for strength, a rudder would help though...
