Question Mach 26 install to Savage

Hey guys has anyone put the Mach 26 into a savage, If so what did you do about the backplate. When I go to drop it in, the backplate and pullstart rides hard agaisnt the TVP.
- Do i just take the dremel to the backplate or is there something else that need to be done????

Dremel is your friend here but don't get too excited with it or you may affect the structural rigidity. If that doesn't work, get a smaller Spur gear in order to get proper gear mesh.

had 2 of then in stock plates and now the extended tvp and they fit...barely but they do.....check your gear ratio......better to gear different then to breach the strength of your chassis!!!!!! IMO

Or even better, order yourself an XTM 247 backplate and swap the two. It's about half the size (well, not exactly, but it looks like it...) Trying to find a link that give's details on the swap... but savageracer.com isn't working. However, if I remember correctly, you should be able to fit a 16/49 gear combo, but just barely. Take a look here: http://www.savageracer.com/forum/sho...highlight=mach

Instead of roto, you can just use the Pull start and save yourself some headaches.
