Hi everyone,

Just to let you know to hold the date! A judging school is confirmed for Ottawa on May 11th. Thank you to Mike Anderson for again securing the room at a low, low cost.

The seminar will be held at the Orleans branch of the Ottawa library, 10am-5pm on May 11th. The slides will be in English and the main presentation in English, but all materials including the slides will be available in French as well and we can intersperse French as needed. No experience/knowledge will be assumed, but speaking from experience even if you are an experienced pilot, after an idle winter a complete refresher is always good! Last year we had about 20 registrants, I hope you guys will come back now that you've had a year to soak it in.

We will cover all judging criteria, including this year's changes. We'll have a quick presentation on the World Championship and qualification process, and a few technical sessions. If there is interest, we can do a group supper afterwards.

We'll post more details and a registration link soon but we wanted to give pilots and prospective pilots in that area a heads-up to hold the date!

Who: anyone interested in IMAC, no experience/knowledge assumed.

Language: the seminar will be led in English but a copy of the slides in French will be available upon advance request. Discussions will be billingual.

Unfortunately I am going to call off this Saturday's judging seminar due to low registration and a few cancellations. Next year we will try to choose an earlier weekend as this seems to work better, this year we bumped it later to avoid a conflict with the Guelph event but in retrospect we should have bumped it to earlier. I'm sorry about the late notice, I've been hoping to get more registrations but it hasn't happened. I hope you are able to make the best out of this Saturday and hopefully use the day to practice your 2013 routines.

We'll find other ways to discuss judging and competing - if you have any questions I'm happy to discuss electronically or at a local club!
