What I wanna know who is the fool... er brave guy that did the test filght?

Attached is the "test" pilot by the name of Jim Poel from Maryland, USA. He also owns and flies a 1947 Republic SeaBee pusher. Someone said "where was his life jacket and crash helmet"? Real pilots like Glenn Curtiss didn't wear such things although Curtiss would wrap a bicycle inner tube around his torso if he was going to fly over water. I guess crash helmets were not invented by 1911. I am amazed that he the test pilot wasn't arrested in NY state for not having a life preserver and helmet. We can't drive and use a cell phone legally although few perpetrators are cited with traffic tickets.
But we can whack the kids in the back seat, eat a big Mac, put on lipstick, talk with both hands off the steering wheel, smoke, drink soft drinks,coffee, water and wrestle our girlfriends all while driving.
Go figure!

you forgot tape a laptop to the stearing wheel and use it while driving!
