Warning to Toronto Area Hobby Shops!!!!!!

Dose anyone know this guy in the attached photo. This guy is wanted by the police. He came into our store approximately two years ago, and stole a fully ready to fly T-Rex Heli. He came into our store again on October 7, 2008. He stole some heli parts. To make a long story short. He left the store in a Black Chevy S-10 pickup truck. I jumped in my car and followed him to Brampton. I was also talking to 911 at the same time. When he noticed that I was following him he stopped his car, stuck it in reverse and floored it. He hit the front end of my car and caused extensive damage to it. He then started driving like an idiot trying to get away, cutting cars off and making oncoming traffic go into the ditch. He almost rolled his truck at one point. 911 told me to stop following him, so I stopped. I was able to give 911 the license plate number. I found out later that it was registered to another car. This guy is experienced at what he dose, and I am certain that he has hit other hobby shops in the past. If anybody has any info on this guy please call or e-mail our shop. Or you can also call the police. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Warning to Toronto Area Hobby Shops!!!!!!

Tom said the plates were registered to a different vehicle. Not necessarily a vehicle this person owns.
By the sounds of this persons charcater, the plates were most likely stolen as well.
Several years ago, the plates were stolen from my work truck one night.
It's not uncommon in the Toronto area.

Re: Warning to Toronto Area Hobby Shops!!!!!!

Hey Tom,

You where able to follow him into brampton and no police could intercept before getting that far? This little ---- needs to get caught.

Steals a helicopter but goes as far as to full out ram you for helicopter parts? You'd think he robbed a bank. I've seen his photo on your wall in the store, i know a lot of people in brampton i'll ask around for you.

He goes as far as raming your car i'll do whatever i can to help.

Hope he gets his ass caught but then again canadian justice system sucks so he'll get a slap on the rist and let go.

How bad was the damage?

Re: Warning to Toronto Area Hobby Shops!!!!!!

Great idea posting his picture on this site Tom. Sounds like he knew what he wanted and what to look for. He inadvertantly just might be a member of a club somewhere here in Southern Ontario. Hopefully someone will recognize him.

Wonder if the police post bullitians in area pawn shops??

Seeing that he has struck your store twice now as well as the Burlington store, he might be from this area. Sooner or later he will get caught!

Sorry about your truck my friend, but you can always get it fixed or replaced. Thank goodness you didn't get seriously injured by this lunatic!.

Re: Warning to Toronto Area Hobby Shops!!!!!!

Hi,

It seems this person knows what he wants by stealling specific helicopter parts. With that in mind, he probably knows, and flys, with other helicopter pilots or sells the stuff to them.

I would suggest you may want to contact MAAC and ask them to distribute the pictures to the club Presidents, and ask them to print it off and take it to their meetings for the membership to take a look at. Another suggestion would be to send it to the MAAC magazine.

It is a pretty good picture and I'm sure someone will recognize him.

It is good to hear you were not hurt in the accident. I hope he gets caught.

Fly4Fun,

Wayne Miller
