Finding the best deal on a Blade CX2...

Hey Guys, need to quickly poll the collective.

I'm in a hurry, on a tight budget, and trying my best to squeeze a Blade CX2 under the tree for someone. Who's got the best deal currently? It's hard to keep up with the rapid price fluctuations as a result of all the US economic news...

So far I've been to Hobby Wholesale, Great Hobbies, a few other smaller shops and the best I can see is $209.99+GST, shipping included. If only E-flite would come to their senses and offer this as a BNF version, then it would have been a slam dunk already...

Any tips would be appreciated...
Thx,
Kelly

$148US free shipping in the lower 48, so send it to Vanderhage's or a border store

Go to ebay, item number 120340124693

regular link wouldn't work for some reason

That is the older version of the CX2. Does not have the upraded aluminum head/hub, the 3in1 or the overcurrent protection!

Re: Finding the best deal on a Blade CX2...

Thanks for the tip Jeremy! Too bad some of the stuff is a bit out dated on it...

What Jarrett ( hs748 ) is referring to is a few changes in the product in the last year or so, most significantly they went from an integrated receiver/mixer/ESC/GYRO to one that had a separate Spectrum AR6100 receiver and a 3 in 1 unit. I think the person getting it would prefer the 3in1 in the long run.

4in1 http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products...rodID=EFLH1024
3in1 http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products...rodID=EFLH1031

Jerrett, thanks for the PM. I'll think about it... To confirm though, as it is a gift I am looking for a NIB heli.

Try Hobby City http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/store/uh_index.asp
I think I saw them on their site. Four day turn around on shipping from Hong Kong

Re: Finding the best deal on a Blade CX2...

Where exactly is hobby city? I've never heard of them... They have the look of a web store since the web site says no walk in orders, yet you just said you were there... Is it a chain of shops?
