Made in the USA...??? I don't think so....not at those prices!

Example: A popular US brand 50 cc size plane...$799 USD. The equivalent Chinese knockoff....$349 USD. Side by side, you can't tell them apart exceipt for the name brand decal.

Hmmm.... I have a wing for a 40 sized Super Decathelon I no longer need...wanna make a one of a kind hybread airplane??? LOL!

The whole country is shut down so the dust has time to settle before the Olympics.

Looking at Great Hobbies website a Sig Something Extra is $199 and a comparable plane the Hanger 9 Twist 40 is $99. If the're both made in China why is the Sig double the price. I'm not looking for opinions of why one plane is better than the other, I own one of each, I know their pros and cons, I just figured Sig was more money because they were made in the USA. I went and looked at my Sig "kit" boxes and all 5 boxes clearly say "made in America."
Are the kits made in the States and ARFS in China? No matter where the're made I love the Sig Kits.

Randy

Please read my comment again. I wasn't talking about an engine. I said " 50cc sized plane! and of course I was talking about the Aeroworks 50cc Yak.

But you're right, the best 50 cc engine is only $399.00 when you consider that the power, smoothness, transition and of course price has DA beat hands down. But the DA does look prettier than the DL but who cares when its hidden inside of a cowel anyway? Its the performance that counts!

This is only my personal opinion, and is based on the fact that I have owned, run & flown both makes and the above comments are my own personal findings.
