trevor,
I seen a fleet of these Airtractor full size planes parked on the tarmac at the Alymer Ontario airport this summer. If soemone can confit that they are stored there for the winter it might be worth a road trip?

Hey Trevor, I have built a couple of AMR kits and love them, you almost don't need glue because the parts fit so tight. Great kits.

I just bought a Wendel Hostetler 1/4 scale Taylorcraft kit from precision kit cutters, should be here by end of the month and hopefully have it ready for maidenfest. Has 112" wing and will be powered by a ZDZ 40, don't have one lying around do you?

My Howard would not start at this years maidenfest so I hope I'll have better luck with this one.

I'll start a build thread when I get it in.

Keith.

Keith!!.. Congrats!

That should be a very fun project! I hear PKCutters does a really nice job!!

I agree about the parts fit on these AMR kits!!

I'm using the fast-curing German wood-glue on this build (same stuff I used on my Pitts) and combined with the tight interlocking fit, it's insanely solid!!

Can't wait for MaidenFest!! Guess we'd better get organizing it!!!

Cheers

Trev

The motorbox is coming together

* top and back plate
* motorbox front and back "wings"

The first 4 pictures show the final result. The remaining pictures prove the weight savings and before/after shots.

Savings = 5.2oz

Cummulative Savings = 13.2oz

Re: AMR 22% AirTractor / MOKI-150.... BBT

Trev I need you help on the APS Powerfuel HV pump for the MOKI engine.

My pump instrustions are in German and Michael at AMR does not have any English ones available nor can I find any on-line.

I saw in your other MOKI build site how you plumbed the pump on your test stand, but my question is how the pump gets its power.

It has a Male JR connector. Does this plug into a spare channel on your receiver to get its power or did you wire yours thru a switch directly to its own battery?

THanks for the help.

PS. I am just finishing my test stand so I can give this baby a try soon. THe prop is to arrive late next week.
