Have any Canadians forked-out the dough for either of these relatively new turbines.

The options of using 2 cycle oil and full kero autostart seem pretty cool. Plus fast spool-up (< 3 seconds) and 35 lbs of thrust...impressive!!

Not to mention the thrust/dollar value and relatively good fuel economy.

I'm not a salesman but from the tone of this post I should be

I don't think so, I definitely know there are no Merlins.... they seem to be wonderful powerful engines. I saw Todd's Eurosport with the Merlin literally into a vertical climb at take-off.
