I was on the radio controlled sports homepage up in Woodbridge. I don't know how old these pics are but it seems they are now building the indoor track. I see pics of the what could be a drivers stand and some pit benches as well.

Does anyone know any info if these are recent pics or a project still incomplete from years gone bye.

They are kinda both... maybe Dan or someone from RC Sports can update us?

Basically this is a project that has been going on for about 2 years now. The pics are more recent - let's hope they can get this thing finished by fall.

Thats what I'm talkin about. If it's strictley going to be electric you'll have a butt load racing here . It will be the off season for the nirto guys and all year round for us . Even though I love racing outdoors it'll be nice to run when the weather is crap and rainy. I can only dream of a nice smooth clay surface to run on.

I had a tour of the facility 2 weeks ago and those pictures are fairly up to date.

My opinion is that the space will be ideal for 18th scale races and extremely tight for 10th scale races.

I see steel racking, i see a ford, I see a few little tables that look like they might be pit tables. There is a set of stairs.
Other than that I don't see too much.

What is all the steel racking for ??

^^^ I was thinking the same thing....Don't see where a track will fit in there...not a 10th scale at least.

I raced indoors when I lived in Montreal. The club rented an old Ford dealership after they moved out. Track conditions were consistant week after week. Never to wet or dry. The key to a great indoor or for that matter any track is to have the right fill. At this track they used what is called sandy loom. Very easy mixture to rake and roll. Similar to a tripple mix but with more sand.
